America has been my home all my life
A place where I've given thanks for the breath that I'm blessed to breathe
even though I know the way I am perceived.
Always taught by example to walk with my head up,
Look folks in the eye and to
Always keep my word.
Through example I learned what not to do,
By experience I learned it's a lot of things in this world
I never knew.
Growing up in the land of the free
Has been an amazing roller coaster ride
From one climax to the next,
From one situation right into death.
Fighting to survive a head on locomotive collision
Praying before your light finally dims
All for the glow,
All for the show,
All for the gram…
